De flesta som älskar Frank Sinatras sångkonst, ännu oöverträffad i sin genre, tänker nog på hans hits från 1950-talet. Och när man nån gång i Sveriges Radio hör Frankie spelas så blir det för det mesta nästan alltid samma relativt sena låtar som My Way,  Strangers in the night,  All of me, The Lady is a tramp och liknande storbandssväng med Nelson Riddles orkester. Jag gillar framför allt hans tid med Dorsey under kriget – soft nostalgi för en som knappt ens var född på den tiden. Som till exempel This is the beginning of the End :
