Efter Presley och den engelska Beatlesrevolutionen kom en ocean av bra artister och band. I England vill jag framför allt minnas den jordnära kraften hos Eric Burdon & The Animals, outtröttlige melody makern Phil Collins och allkonstnären Peter Gabriel. Ta bara hans otroliga videolanseringar som man fortfarande kan njuta av på YouTube. Och vackrast av dem alla är väl Don’t give up från åttiotalets mitt, med älskliga Kate Bush klamrande i hans famn i vinden. Texten går inte heller av för hackor. Om arbetslöshet och noll framtidsdrömmar… Går fint att applicera i valda delar på somliga politiska partier i både England och vårt eget land idag. Men upp med hakan:
